Moira Buchanan, founder trustee, now director, mother of 5, grandmother of 19, stepmother of 4, step grandmother of 3. My youngest son has ADHD (now a successful 24.5year old) was diagnosed in 1995(ADHD) and in 1999 (Dyslexia). Through his experiences and some great transitions in my attitude, we have gone forward.
Knowing that my son was not the only child/youth in NZ with the same or similar condition, it was decided with John Sulzberger, that a need for advocacy for children/youth in the areas that seem to be neglected (Education). Hence the formation of the Trust, we advocated for different learning approaches that suited children's learning styles in schools, so that these potentially talented children/youth have a chance to learn the way that they can understand. Phonically hearing sounds, along with some 1 on 1 tutoring, from with in the classroom area....I can now boast a World Wide Network of Professionals in many categories that many of our young ones suffer from in one form or another.
